It slurps up all the bandwith
As a blogger and a podcaster you cannot go without bandwith for the laptop for long. No can do. It´s like a car without petrol or even an addict without the drug (!) Last week I was at TheNextWeb-conference in Amsterdam, staying on a house-boat on Prinsengracht. Pretty busy place - lots of connections - some of them secured, but also some who have been left open. Probably laziness - I don´t know.
Thes open connections can be used by anyone who like me is in desperate need - but the connections come and go, new ones come up. And this is where this hedgehog-like creature shows its value.
Mark Hoekstra held it up on the stage at TheNextWeb, and I have seen a router before, just not one with so many antennas. What they do is to slurp up all the available and accessable bandwith around and let you and your friends hook up, play your games, surf, upload your photos, your podcast, maintain your blog, whatever you need to do.
Sure there are some legal issues here to be looked into - but until the globe is connected with bandwith there is still room for innovation, at this hedgehog will come in handy. Read the details here.
