I am attending quite a few conferences this year - both as a speaker, as an exhibitor, as a podcaster, a blogger and a common visitor.

One of the bigges events is the Web 2.0 EXPO in Berlin - and the programme, the exhibit hall is so overwhelming, so I have to have  plan. First of all there are all the other Danish people I know who are also going to attend. Would love to spend time with them. Then there are all the vendors and speakers about my special interest, which is podcasting - both corporate and private.

So it is really important to have a plan. When I was in Las Vegas for the New Media Expo George Smyth interviewed me about it for the One Minute How To-podcast.

And people like Chris Brogan, whom I have met a conferences several times, are good people to get tricks and tips from.
